About Rachel Wood
Cheeky Monkeys Speech Pathology is owned and operated by Rachel Wood (BSpeechPath, CPSP). Rachel has worked as a Speech Pathologist for over 20 years and has extensive experience in assessing and providing therapy for children of all ages with speech, language and communication difficulties. Rachel enjoys working with families and loves helping the cheeky monkeys who visit her clinic.

Qualifications & Experience
- Rachel has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (The University of Newcastle, Australia).
- Rachel is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and completes professional development training to maintain her accreditation each year.
- Rachel has worked for over 20 years as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist in a variety of Health settings (eg. Westmead Children’s Hospital; Taree, Prairiewood & Erina Community Health Centres) and in her own private practice. Rachel has also worked in specialist settings (eg. Cleft Palate Clinic & Deafness Centre at Westmead Children’s Hospital).
- Rachel is It Takes Two To Talk Hanen certified and has attended Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium workshops for preschool and school aged children.
- Rachel completed a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education & Care through TAFE NSW in 2019. She was awarded the 2020 Vocational Student of the Year in the Central Coast Region NSW Training Awards.
